Worldchanging

A couple nights ago I began to read a book called "Worldchanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century" that I received for Christmas from my girlfriend and so far it's pretty damn awesome. I recommend picking up a copy of the book or at least checking out their website.

I'm only about 100 pages into the book but it's already been moving me to think about things I can attempt to do to lessen my impact on the planet. I haven't come up with anything staggering that I can really (feasibly) do right now but in the future I'm going to attempt to use less harmful cleaning products. I'm going to attempt to find a job closer to where I live so that I don't have a 25 mile commute each way to and from work. I really would like to work somewhere close enough to ride my bike to work when the weather is nicer. (Plus, I'm sure the decrease in stress that my current job exposes me to will also help to save the planet, too...)

I've also been thinking about things that are unrelated to the book such as eating better and doing more exercise. My roomate has a treadmill that has been used less than a half-dozen times since it showed up in our living room... I'm sure I can work walking on the treadmill for 1/2 hour into my SO, SO busy schedule. ;)
