We really need to...

... take the ridiculous warning labels off of products.

I wonder what the effect would be on the type of people who think it's a good idea to use a hair dryer in the bath tub, or that don't know that fireworks are flammable/explosive or that razor blades are sharp. The list goes on and on.

I'm sick of seeing everything littered with warnings and disclaimers and "Don't do this unbelievably stupid action or you'll maim or kill yourself and/or others."

Unfortunately, achieving this isn't as easy as it sounds. An integral part of this effort would be to eliminate the so-called "legal system" as it has become in the United States. The obvious result of just taking the labels off would be a huge glut of unbelievable lawsuits which brought about the warnings in the first place. If we took away the option of a huge cash lawsuit in the case of overwhelming stupidity of the unfortunate end user of the product/service in question then we can focus on lawsuits involving things that actually matter for the improvement of society.
