The World Without Us

I was just flipping past Current TV and caught a mention of a book by Alan Weisman called The World Without Us.

The brief description that I was able to catch on Current was VERY interesting to me, so I immediately went to the website for the book. The basic idea of the book is what the world would look like if we were no longer here and how long it would take for all traces of our civilization to disappear. This is something that I don't really find myself thinking about but I must admit that I found the whole premise of the book fascinating.

The website also included a link to a segment from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart which I thought was pretty funny...

Anyway, I guess the purpose of this blog entry is to say that I found yet ANOTHER book to add to my Amazon.com wishlist.
